Christmas...in January.

{In Memory of Harry and Dorothy Sayles}

Last week I posted three times and all three posts were about Christmas but sitting here tonight I plug in my camera and voila...more Christmas.  More partying yes, but I'm thankful for all of them and when I asked Ryan what is favorite part about Christmas was he said "all the parties we went to and seen our family."  Funny that was my favorite part too!

When we arrived at my aunt's house she told us about the decorations hanging up town in memory of my grandparents, there were all types hanging on the main street put there by The Lion's Club with money my grandma donated after grandpa died a few years ago.  So after we ate dinner my cousin, sister and I drove up to see them for ourselves.

I'm sure the kids were antsy for us to get back home because there were presents under the tree!  We tried a new tradition this year where we all bought for the little kids and then brought a wrapped adult gift to play the dirty santa game.

Even though Whitney is 16 I'm still holding her in the "child" category so I got her a present and I was surprised when she bought one for me too...obviously because we have a thing.

One can only say my present was the best one ever, she gets my sense of humor.

Speaking of funny, my mother received the Fifty Shades trilogy for Christmas which made me want to run right home and take a shower.  Yes, I've read the books but my mother?!?!?

Our small family sure does fill up a room anymore, the kids (and uncle BJ) had fun playing with their new toys and hard to imagine there was very little whining, crying or fighting.

Whitney was most excited for people to arrive that could play ping pong, she got a new net for Christmas and had been dying to have somebody stand on the other side of the table from her.  Of course nobody played as good as I did...I only hit one window, a plant and nearly busted the ceiling fan.  In one game. For realz.

My sister and cousin left early with their kids so I turned on cartoons and tried to keep my two somewhat occupied so I could play cards with the adults, it didn't work so well and there was threatening of lives but I managed kind of.  Jon was home on the couch sick otherwise he could have wrangled and  I could have had my full game face on, I'm pretty certain this is why I lost my $1.50.

{this is what I had to deal with}

While we played cards we laughed a lot as per normal, mostly at my mother's expense again normal, I mean who has a skin tag hanging off their neck like an extra appendage?  Sick!

I always have fun when my mom and aunt are in the room which is why I'm totally looking forward to this weekend which is our annual girl's night in.  Expect some inappropriateness.

Does Dirty Santa involve sex toys? Because if so, I see a Girls Christmas Party happening next year.
