We received an invitation to Dan and Katie's wedding a few months ago, she is the daughter of somebody Jon works with and we have been very close to their family for a while now. We skipped out on the wedding because let's be real...nobody wants babies running their mouths through the wedding and we don't enjoy trying to keep them quiet in a church either. So our truancy was a win-win for everyone.
We rolled into the reception just in time to eat which was awesome and we even got a seat right next to the dance floor. While we waited for the cake to be cut and all of the initial slow dances, we took some pictures. OF COURSE we took some pictures, right?
We went to Goodwill this morning and got David some dress clothes and Ryan some black dress shoes so everyone was looking pretty good so I made sure to get a pictures with the three of them.
I had a little shock when the bride's grandma walked up to me and said "Hey, I read your blog!" and when I said that I was a little bit embarrassed by that she said that I shouldn't be because everything I have to say is real. Real like when I post pictures of Intern Katie's boobs? Oy vey. I can't think about who is reading or I would probably get stage fright and clam up.

When the music started Ryan started sliding across the dance floor Risky Business style and burned a hole in his only pair of dress pants! As soon as I saw his slider-move I noticed he had two big yellow stickers on the bottom of his shoes that blasted GOODWILL $2.99. Fashion faux pas!
All three kids took to the floor like white on rice. Haylee's dance moves were...interesting to say the least. She was trotting around with her hands above her head, Ryan had his hands in his pockets while he was trying to shake it and he looked all awkward and David was doing what could only be described as an Irish Jig mixed with some clogging routine.
I thought I would leave you with a visual of the rhythm-challenged children I call my own. Nonetheless we had a good time and that's what matters!

you guys all look great! Love the dance moves...hahaha. Glad you all had so much fun!
Wedding receptions are great aren't they? I haven't been to nearly enough of them.
I was pretty mortified that everyone at work reads my blog on Fridays when they should be working. Especially when I have no idea how they find it. Um, yeah. I refuse to be censored!
In other news, I wish I knew more people getting married because I love wedding receptions! I also love baby showers because my baby making days are over (sadsies) and it's the only way to get my fix on buying baby things.
I had to laugh out loud when I read the part about the stickers on the shoes. My friend and I used to tell each other to be sure we don't have the prices still on out Goodwill shoes when we go up for communion. (We kneel.)
I love watching children dance they always look so cute and sometimes funny and do not worry about who are watching..........I also love to dance mostly when I have had a few drinks.........lol
